My favorite cake so far is their Hokkaido chocolate strawberry cake, closely followed by the mango pudding cake. Among their pastries, the caterpillar roll is a standout with its soft texture and perfectly balanced filling. The sandwich was just as delicious as it looked; although it was a bit heavy on the bread, the fluffy texture and flavorful fillings made it impossible not to finish. I also tried their hot kumquat lemon green tea, which had the perfect level of sweetness, though I couldn't quite tell if it was sweetened with honey or sugar. The place is always clean, the staff are incredibly kind, and I often find myself looking for reasons to buy their cakes to share, even without a special occasion!

Oh man, I can't believe that I have not written as review of this place yet! Anytime I am in the SGV I have to stop by and get some bread. I do not like their drinks as I find them all too sweet even the ones that I ask for zero sweetness. So I bypass that but I love their bread! Honestly, my favorite is the pork floss breads. I am Korean and used to the Korean style breads BUT oh man do I love the pork floss breads. I crave these sometimes. I get all the types of pork floss that I can find on whichever day that I make it there. I don't live close to SGV at all so when I come, I stock up and buy up a lot. I eat what I can that day and save the rest in the fridge. Sure it's not as good cold and then nuked BUT hey. . .a girl needs her pork floss bread! LOL The service is always quick unless you have a person in front of you that can't seem to just move along. . .-_- They also have a cake display. I normally only get their chocolate cake for the hubby so I can't say if it is good or not but I know my hubby likes the chocolate cake. lol The place is not that new looking and you can tell that it has been there for a long time. BUT that doesn't mean that it is dirty or anything like that. It's clean but just looks worn around the edges. Overall, I love the pork floss bread and I will definitely be back for more.

* Wide variety of sweet and savory pastries (fav: matcha mochi bun) * Nice drinks, however, cannot alter sweetness level so may not be for those who can handle full sweetness (Fac: Peach Iced Green Tea) * Plenty of parking beneath the plaza * Seating for small groups, not great for large groups (6+) * Friendly service and clean

Where to start?! The cake, pastries, bread and drinks are so good! I tried to cut down on sugar and carbs but it's hard when this place is so addicting! My favorite cake so far is their Hokiado chocolate strawberry cake, then it would be their mango pudding cake. I tried several pastries and my favorite is the caterpillar roll which is so soft and perfectly filled. The sandwich tasted exactly as good as it looked. Although I could have done with less bread, I still gobbled it all up. The bread is fluffy and the inners were delectable! I got the hot kumquat lemon green tea to try. It was so good but not sure if it had honey or sugar haha but it was perfectly sweet. The place looks pretty clean and the workers are really sweet. Maybe a bit weird...but I have to refrain myself from going here everyday. I find myself finding excuses to buy their cakes to share even if I am not celebrating anything!

There's no shortage of Chinese bakeries in the SGV and I do like my carbs... With many larger chains popping up, don't forget about independent bakeries like Oh My Pan! that offers both unique breads and cakes. And, one day, I will try that volcano toast desert that everyone is posting about.

Date of visit: multiple times including today 9/25/23 They have boba milk tea bun, which I don't see anywhere else. Also not very common at Chinese bakeries elsewhere is the honeydew melon bun. I've seen this at Japanese bakery store but definitely not Chinese bakery. I like this bakery and always make the time to stop by whenever I'm in the area. To heat up, just use toaster oven NO NEED PREHEAT, 10 mins 350F.
